Impressive new take on classic latin styles
iLe is the stage name of Ileana Mercedes Cabra Joglar. Before going solo she was best known for a decade as a singer and rapper with Calle 13 under her nickname PG-13.
“iLevitable”, produced by iLe and Ismael Cancel, contains 12 songs, some written by iLe, others by local composers, and even by members of her family, such as her sister and her grandmother. Billboard magazine raves: “A sound that could be deemed retro. But timelessness is a better description for this striking debut.”
iLevitable debuted at #1 in US Latin’s Top Alternative Albums in digital stores and #4 overall Latin Albums. The album is available now on Sony Music Latin and has received rave reviews from NPR to The New York Times.
