ORB are a heavy-psych power-trio from Geelong, Australia,blending doom-laden riffs, fuzzed-out proto-metal and cosmicgroove. Featuring members Zak Olsen, Daff Gravolin and JohnZacharias, the band grew from informal jams into one of Australia’smost distinctive underground psychedelic rock acts.

They debuted with the Womb cassette (2015) before breakingthrough with Birth (2016) and Naturality (2017), records thatshowcased their signature mix of Sabbath-weight, psychedelicsprawl and off-kilter melody. After a quiet spell, ORB returned withTailem Bend (2024), expanding their palette into sun-baked psychpop and funk-leaning rhythms. 2025 saw the band self-release theirfirst single with new drummer John Zacharius. “Mind Over Matter /End Times” is a catchy number which finds the band leaning intotheir early 60s rhythm & blues influences. With the single debutingon Seattle’s KEXP radio, the band was then invited on to play a liveset to kick off their 2025 US tour.

Live, ORB operate as a raw, improvisational power-trio — loud,hypnotic and heavy without pretension. With one foot in classichard-rock and another in the outer reaches of psychexperimentation, ORB continue to evolve while stayingunmistakably themselves.
