Instrumental five-piece shoom emerged at the beginning of 2022, debuting in the Dutch alternative music scene with an intimate living room concert. Since then, the band has opened for legendary groups Battles and Ice Age, performed at ESNS thrice, and has been on tour in the Netherlands with Popronde. In April, they headed on their first tour in the UK. In a schizophrenic fever dream of subtle rhythms, loud swinging guitars, and poignant saxophone solos, shoom showcases influences from all corners of music: from black midi to John Coltrane and from MF DOOM to Talking Heads.
